Sumner Tides

Vivid memories of my early teenage years came flooding back during a recent visit to Cave Rock (Sumner Beach) in Ōtautahi Christchurch, my hometown. It was a time when lifelong bonds were being formed through spirited adventures and growing independence. The same sea that once surged into the cave, nearly claiming my dear friend and I, now appeared serene. Its gentle ebb and flow served as a poignant reminder of the continuous passage of time. Sumner Tides is an homage to Claude Debussy, whose music captured my heart during those formative years.
